| Review: Odd Thomas movie was hard and it was really nice watch. Im a big fan of books Odd Thomas. As with any novel turned into a film that had a lot of fine detail out and some that have never been there added in. I feel I have done a good job of capturing Odds character. I feel the chemistry between Odd and Stormy was a little off. Im not sure if this is due to the casting, acting or direction. Or the fact that so much of her character was omitted. But looked younger, instead of a deep love for your love life. I can not help but wonder if they had given a little bigger and more focused on some of the other characters and their stories budget, it would be a great movie, not just good. In the book, we have many more ghostly communication between Odd and very varied and interesting collection of spirits, including Elvis. I would like to see more of this in the movie because I think it really helps the viewer / reader to understand the world of the dead and how it affects the world of the living and of itself funny. One of the most interesting characters in the book is your strange friend and her cat Little Ozzy, Ozzy has six fingers on his left hand, writes crime novels and knows odds unusual powers as does the sheriff. Stormy is clearly the one who knows everything about Odd. I gave Odd Thomas A 7 10 - It good hard fun movie and watch. Id love to see it turned into a TV series. Way you think can get the development of in-depth character and plot it has on the books. |
