| Review: The acting was solid. The production value was excellent. Everything else was really poor.the back story and character motivations are ridiculously sparse. Most of the characters is completely one dimensional, with the possible exception of Loki. The plot is the most boring and typical of all the action plots - some bad dudes who happen to be really ugly decides to destroy the world for no other reason than to be mean, and only our definitely can save us all, etc. In addition, lazy writing - when an absolute miracle to happen, it is conveniently did, every time. Obviously this is a mindless blockbuster Marvel movies, so we should not expect much. But the thing is that these films can be made with a reasonable plot, pacing and character development. The authors were obviously just go through the motions of making money surefire moneymaker successor, and from a business perspective it is difficult to expose them. But it says a lot about the sad state of Hollywood in 2013, this film currently has a 7.7 at IMDb. |
